Camping is overnight lodging in the outdoors using standard camping equipment, and is categorized into three different types.  Primitive or backcountry camping is where all equipment is transported by non-motorized vehicle methods to a site that may or may not be a previously designated camp site.  Motorized camping uses a motorized vehicle located nearby as part of the camping experience.  Group camping occurs when 10 or more people stay overnight with or without a motor vehicle.  It is important with any of these camping types to follow the rules of the owner of the property where the camping takes place, including permit securing if the land is public. Camping in any style can be relaxing and enjoyable, and pairing it with good food and an aerobic hike makes for a complete experience in the great outdoors!
